Finnmark Snowmobile Safari welcomes you to an unforgettable experience in Alta and
Finnmark! 2.5-hour plain trip from Oslo takes you to Alta Airport, where you will
be met by our representative. He will take you to our service facilities, where
you will be fitted with clothing for the trip, and then by bus to Jotka, where the
snowmobiles will be waiting. Before heading out we will give you a brief course
in snowmobile handling and safety routines. To experience the ultimate feeling of
freedom, you will be driving your own personal snowmobile. We have standard snowmobile
safaris available, and we can also custom tailor snowmobile trips to your specifications.
We provide lodgings in a hotel, in mountain cabins, or in lavvos (Saami tents),
and serve the finest local Finnmark-cuisine. The daylight this far north is very
special, and has a color quite its own, which must be experienced! In the winter,
the temperatures vary, from mild (2-3 centigrade) to extremely cold (-30 centigrade),
and the weather conditions will always be unpredictable.
